Shiny Little Lake

  Shiny Lake_120908_0092

This is a small lake in the middle of Woodway, Tx.  It was a Beautiful, if windy day, and this spot caught my eye.

I like the reflections in the water, disturbed by the ripples.

I had a lens hood on, but still I get a lens flare .  Hmmmmm.

The Moon looks cool tonite!

This is called a “Lunar Occultation”.  Some places in the world Venus (the planet low in the picture below the moon) was seen to vanish behind the moon.   The other planet is Jupiter.  This is the closest approach of the three in many years, I am not sure how long.  The moon and Venus were behind a thin wisp of cloud and so appear a bit hazy.
